Even in silence, God’s promise ensures He hears you. Sometimes we pray and don’t feel God’s presence. We may not feel like He’s there, but God’s faithfulness is greater than our feelings. He promises to hear, He promises to listen, and His promises are true no matter how we feel.
Even if you don’t feel like your heart is changed or you have peace, even if you don’t feel spiritually stronger or closer to God, even if you haven’t seen the answers to your prayers, and even if you haven’t experienced the unimaginable, you can know that God hears your prayers because He promised that He would. Jeremiah 33:3 says,
“Call to me and I will answer you, and will tell you great and hidden things that you have not known.” (Jeremiah 33:3 ESV)
Our feelings are not greater than God’s truth, and the Bible makes it clear that when we pray, God most certainly hears us. May we hold the truth of that promise deep within out souls today and everyday.
Pray: Heavenly Father, thank You for Your promise to hear our prayers. Help us to trust in Your faithfulness over our feelings and to hold on to Your truth even when we feel unheard. In Jesus’ name, amen.
Reflect: How do you remind yourself of God’s promises when you feel unheard in prayer?
