There is no hope in knowing God is with you and that He is in control, if we believe He is this mean and cantankerous God waiting to strike us down with the next bad thing. It’s our own untrue thoughts about God and who He is that can fuel the fire to our anxious minds. In these times, Romans 8:28 reminds us:
“And we know that for those who love God all things work together for good, for those who are called according to his purpose.” (Romans 8:28 ESV)
Even when we can’t see it and we can’t feel it, God is working on our behalf. He is a loving Father who has our best interest in mind. It’s up to us to believe the truth about God, His relation to us, and that He is for us. Today, I invite you to give God thanks for always being for you.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for always being for me and working out everything for my good and Your glory. When I doubt Your presence at times, please remind me of Your continued faithfulness. In Jesus’ name, amen.
