Podcasts, YouTube videos, and Sunday morning service are great ways to grow in your relationship with the Lord. But if you’ve found yourself needing more, there is nothing better than getting in His presence for yourself. Someone else can spark our fire and passion for God, but if we want to keep that fire going, we must connect to the Source for ourselves. The Bible tells us to “Never be lacking in zeal, but keep your spiritual fervor, serving the Lord.” (Romans 12:11 NIV)
Like I say in my book “Daughters of Fire,” you can’t burn brightly for God with someone else’s fire. True passion for God only comes from God. I encourage you today to seek God for yourself and allow Him to set a fire in your soul that cannot be contained.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for the passion You have for me. As I seek, may Your love for me ignite a love for You that lights up my entire life. In Jesus Christ Name I pray, Amen.
