Day 10: Everlasting Kingdom
Reading: Luke 1:30-33
The Israelites always wanted a king like other nations, although they were led by God himself. They endured cycles of good and bad kings as they waited on their promised Messiah, whose rule would never end. As Gabriel announced the birth of Jesus to Mary, he said:
“And he will reign over Israel forever; his Kingdom will never end!” (Luke 1:33 NLT)
The kingdom Jesus established will never fall or be overtaken. He will rule forever. His birth was just the beginning of a rule that will overcome and outlast injustice, corruption, and unrighteousness forever. When we place our faith in Christ, we too, become a part of His everlasting Kingdom.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for establishing a righteous rule that has no end. May my faith and actions reflect Your everlasting Kingdom. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
