In order to be victorious in spiritual warfare, we must ensure we realize who our real enemy is in the first place. Ephesians 6:12 tells us:
“For we do not wrestle against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the cosmic powers over this present darkness, against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly places.” (Ephesians 6:12 ESV)
Often, we’re tempted to think our enemy is our spouse, parents, co-workers, teachers or a political party. The enemy may use the physical as a tool to harm us, but let’s be clear; our true enemy is not in the physical.
If we fight the wrong enemy, we’re probably fighting for him. If we’re focused on the wrong enemy, we’ll never see the attack of our real enemy coming. So, know who your real enemy is and fight accordingly.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the armor of God you have given me to protect myself from spiritual attack. I ask for power and discernment as I resist the enemy and His attacks on my life. Thank you for protecting me and keeping me. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
