It’s not enough to know God is powerful. You need to know that out of His love for you, He will act on that power for your good. This may seem obvious, but we are quick in battles to question if God loves us or if He is for us. He is both, and when we know this, we find the courage to stand firm on the truth of His love for us and let Him fight and win every battle we face. Romans 8:31 says:
“What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us?” (Romans 8:31 ESV)
Sometimes, we think that if we don’t fight, we open ourselves up for attack. God is not calling us to stand in the open and take blow after blow. He’s calling us to come to Him as our refuge while He fights for us. When God fights for us, we will always win because God always wins.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for fighting for me. May I rely on Your strength for victory as I place my trust in You. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
