A wise woman fears the Lord, meaning she reverences Him and honors Him in her life. She seeks Him first, and He provides the wisdom, instruction, and insight to not only receive the life He has for her, but to also maintain and keep it.
Proverbs 1:7 says:
“The fear of the LORD is the beginning of knowledge; fools despise wisdom and instruction.” (Proverbs 1:7 ESV)
It is the foolish woman who will resist seeking God and, with her own hands, tear down the life she builds because she can’t sustain it without Him. Even more, if she has built the foundation of her life without Him, how can she endure and withstand when things get difficult? She can’t.
So, if a woman wants to build up her life and those around her, if she wants to become a woman of influence, and she does not want to unnecessarily sabotage the blessings God has entrusted to her, she needs to wisely gain understanding from God on how to live. Where do we get this understanding from God? His Word. God has given us the wisdom and blueprint for life in His scriptures. Today, I encourage you to choose to seek God’s wisdom for your life.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for the firm foundation of wisdom that is found in Your Word for my life. Help me to partner with You and use Your blueprint to lead me. In Jesus’ name, amen
