If you’ve ever found yourself overthinking a decision, questioning whether you’re making the right choice, or stressing over whether you’re on the “correct” path, you’re not alone. I’ve been there too—wanting to please God, wanting to do what’s right, but also feeling a little paralyzed by the fear of getting it wrong.

But here’s what I’ve learned: God orders our steps. And He knows how to guide us—even when we veer off course. Psalm 37:23 says:

“The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord, and He delights in his way.” (NKJV)

That means God isn’t standing off in the distance, waiting to see if we’ll mess up. He’s walking with us. Watching us. Guiding us like a loving parent with their child. And just like you wouldn’t let your child wander off into danger without stepping in, God won’t let you go too far without lovingly pulling you back.

So if your heart is for Him… if you’re praying, seeking His will, and moving in faith—you can trust that He will direct you. You don’t have to live in fear of taking a wrong turn. God sees your faith, not your perfection. A decision made in faith is a decision He can work with.

So take the next step. Make the move. Trust Him with it. He is with you in every single step—and He’s working all things together for your good.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for ordering my steps. When I’m unsure or afraid, remind me that You’re guiding me. Help me to trust You more than I fear making a mistake. Give me peace to move forward in faith, knowing You will direct me as I go. In Jesus’ Name, I pray, Amen.
