One of my favorite qualities about the Proverbs 31 woman is that she can look at the future without fear. Proverbs 31:25 says:
“Strength and dignity are her clothing, and she laughs at the time to come.” (Proverbs 31:25 ESV)
Worry, fear, and anxiety try to knock at her door, but she doesn’t cower back. She doesn’t hide. She doesn’t back down. What does she do instead? She laughs! She knows the future is in her Lord’s hands, and she trusts Him.
Not knowing what tomorrow will bring can cause much fear, in even the strongest women. We learn from the Proverbs 31 woman that when we trust the Lord for tomorrow, we will have peace for today. I want to encourage you to free yourself from fear, worry, and anxiety today by placing your full confidence in God for what is to come.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for holding my future in Your hands. Please help me to trust You alone so that I too, may laugh at the days to come. In Jesus Christ’s name, I pray, Amen.
