Day 23: God Will Do His Part
Reading: Luke 2:39-40
By law, Mary and Joseph were required to present Jesus to God at the temple. Once they did their part, God did His. When the new parents returned to their home in Nazareth, Luke 2:40 tells us:
“There the child grew up healthy and strong. He was filled with wisdom, and God’s favor was on him.” (Luke 2:40 NLT)
God was very much present in the early life of Jesus. He gave Jesus everything He would need to complete His purpose as Messiah, things Mary and Joseph could not. We learn that we don’t have to worry about what we can’t do when we are certain God will do His part.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for your faithfulness to finish what You start. I pray for strength to do what You’ve called me to do and faith to trust You with the rest.
