Day 4: A Promise Fulfilled
Reading: Jeremiah 33:14-16
The hope Jesus brings is a righteousness that reconciles us with God. No one can live the righteous life God desires, so He promised to send Jesus to live that life for us. Jeremiah 33:15 says:
“In those days and at that time I will raise up a righteous descendant from King David’s line. He will do what is just and right throughout the land.” (Jeremiah 33:15 NLT)
Doing what is right does not always come easy, but through Jesus, it is possible. Jesus did what we could not, and when we place our faith in Him, He places His righteousness on us.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for covering me with Your righteousness as I place my faith in Christ. May I always remember Your promise to make a way for me to be in right relationship with You. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
