When life is spinning out of control, our default reaction is usually to take matters into our own hands, but this is when we need to place matters in God’s hands and trust in his faithfulness and control. Thessalonians 5:24 tells us: “He who calls you is faithful; he will surely do it.” (ESV)
We place so much pressure on ourselves to take responsibility for everything. But we are not in control, and that’s a good thing. You can experience the peace of God by letting it go, whatever your “it” may be, and trusting God with it.
Remember: we don’t have to feel the pressure of having everything on our shoulders when we trust God will do his part. He is faithful, and he will do it.
Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for Your unchanging faithfulness toward me. I pray for the strength to let go of the things I don’t need to hold on to. In Jesus Christ’s name, I pray. Amen.
