As Christians, we have a level of faith in God but can often lack the trust to allow God to lead our lives. We can believe God exists and that He is powerful but surrendering to God to allow His power into our lives is often a stumbling block for many believers. So what are we to do? How can we trust God? Proverbs 3:5-6 tells us:
“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not rely on your own understanding; in all your ways know him, and he will make your paths straight.” (Proverbs 3:5-6 CSB)
Knowing God intimately is the first step to trusting Him even when our circumstances don’t line up with our expectations. We may not always understand what God is doing in our lives but as we grow to know and acknowledge Him more we can understand His character. Our circumstances will change but we can always trust that the goodness of God will not. I encourage you today to walk in faith know God can do more with your faith than your doubt.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank You for being trustworthy. Please help me to remember your faithfulness that my heart may always trust in You. In Jesus’ Christ Nam,e I pray, amen.
