I’m sure you have a lot to do today, and you may be trying to figure out how you will get it all done. But before you do that, remember why you’re doing it in the first place. Colossians 3:17 tells us:
“And whatever you do, in word or deed, do everything in the name of the Lord Jesus, giving thanks to God the Father through him.” (Colossians 3:17 ESV)
When we focus only on what needs to get done, we can become overcome with anxiety and overwhelm, but when we remember our work is for God and remain thankful for the work He has entrusted us, no matter how seemingly big our small, we gain the motivation to accomplish our work with grace and power. So whatever you’re doing or speaking today, do so with a mind for God and find the strength to work with the power of God. Today, I invite you to seek God’s presence and power in all that you do.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for being the source of my strength in all that I do. When I want to serve within my own strength, help me to rely on Your spirit to sustain me. In Jesus’ name, amen
