Waiting seasons can sometimes be very quiet, lonely and isolating. During these times, we can get in our own heads and start asking questions like: “Is God really going to work this out if I do it His way?” If we’re not careful, we will talk ourselves out of having the faith to stay in that waiting season and to see that waiting season through. Psalm 38:15 states:
“Lord, I wait for you; you will answer, Lord my God.” (Psalm 38:15 NIV)
We have to realize is that when we are tested in a waiting season it is not just about what we’re waiting for. It’s about the faith that it takes to wait. I need you to understand something, Beloved. The enemy does not want your marriage. He does not want your money. He does not want your child, your hopes, your dreams, or your home. The enemy may use those things to attack you, but what he really wants is your faith.
Why? Because your faith unlocks God’s power in your life. Your faith is what unlocks the same power that rose Jesus from the grave, a power that the enemy knows he has no chance against. So when he sees you in a waiting season, do not be surprised when he comes at you and attacks you in every way possible. He doesn’t want your harvest. He wants your faith. Today, I encourage you not to lose hope but to move forward in faith that God will continue to take care of you.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, when I get discouraged while waiting, please help me to strengthen my faith in You and Your power to overcome the enemy’s schemes. In Jesus’ name, amen.
