We can believe and know that where there is praise to God, there is God’s presence. He inhabits the praises of His people. When I attended my friend Kim Cash Tate’s conference a few years ago, I was a little late. As I walked through the hotel hallways, navigating my way to the ballroom, I could hear the praise and worship echoing through the building. The closer I made it to the praise, the more I could sense the presence of God. My heart stirred, my senses arose, and goosebumps covered my arms. By the time I got to the conference room door, the presence of God was so thick you knew without a doubt God was there. Now you don’t need a conference to praise God and experience His presence. You just need to take the time to praise Him. I’m sure some of you have had some serious praise sessions in your car, cleaning the house, or even in the shower. Psalm 22:3 says:
“But You are holy, Enthroned in the praises of Israel.” (Psalms 22:3 NKJV)
That’s what makes praise and worship so powerful. It opens our hearts to God’s presence in such a powerful way that it can change our atmosphere, circumstances and hearts alike. Today, I encourage you to praise God with your whole heart and give thanks to Him.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for Your goodness and faithfulness to me. Help me to continue to praise and give You thanks daily. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
