I live in Southeast America, where you could experience 4 seasons in one day, and almost every time the seasons change, my children’s allergies start to act up. The weather and pollen changes trigger an allergic reaction, so I make sure we’re ready to take all the necessary precautions during those times.
In the same way fear is like our allergic reaction to life’s changes. When we face anything new, we’re also tempted to fear change and struggle with the anxiety of not knowing how thigns will turn out. During times like this, 2 Corinthians 5:7 reminds us:
“For we walk by faith, not by sight.” (2 Corinthians 5:7 ESV)
As we take steps from one season to another, while trusting God, our fear will eventually be replaced with faith. Today, I encourage you to let your faith in God lead you instead of fear.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, when I’m afraid, please remind me that You are my peace and to surrender all my anxieties over to You. Please strengthen my faith in You and Your continued faithfulness. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
