We often run from pressure and challenges because we fear they make us weak, but nothing grows stronger without pressure. Often, what we feel is breaking us down, God will use to build us back up stronger than before. Nehemiah 8:10 tells us:
“The joy of the Lord is your strength.” (Nehemiah 8:10b ESV)
If God’s joy gives us strength, then it’s our fear that makes us weak and not our challenges. So keep your focus on God today and rejoice in His sovereignty, power, and strength. Today, I encourage you to receive God’s joy as your ultimate strength.
Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you for Your joy that is the ultimate source of my strength. Please help me to receive Your joy more freely when I go through challenges, and be reminded that I am not alone. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray, Amen.
