How often do we beat ourselves up because we get tired? How frustrated do we become when we need to take a break because we want to keep going? The trust is, God doesn’t think like that. In fact, He expects us to get tired. In Isaiah 40:30-31, we’re told:

“Even youths shall faint and be weary, and young men shall fall exhausted; but they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint.” (Isaiah 40:30-31 ESV)

God knows no matter how young you are, we all face seasons and situations where we become tired and weary. Not only that, He has provided help for those seasons. He promises to renew our strength with His. When we lean on Him and make God our source of strength, we tap into a power that does not run out. We get tired, and weary and faint, but God does not. We can always go to Him when we need our strength renewed. Today, I encourage you to be renewed by God’s sustaining strength and allow Him to rejuvenate and restore your weary soul.

Prayer: Dear Heavenly Father, thank you that You have promised to renew my strength when I’m tired and weak. Please remind me to not feel guilty for being tired, but look to You for rest, peace, and replenishing. In Jesus Christ’s Name, I pray. Amen.
